Under each objective a number of activities is to be implemented. They include annual network meetings, mentorship program for young searchers, exchange programs for trainees and medical staff.
Each African study site organizes scientific meeting to disseminate research activities reports in which policy makers are invited to take part.
The sites are encouraged to convene meeting with National Tuberculosis Programs and other relevant decision making bodies to define priorities for clinical and operational research.
The goals of the Networking within the TB Sequel Network are to enhance inter institutional communication and exchange, to organize joint activities, and to facilitate knowledge sharing and research partnerships. The Networking outside of the Network aims at cooperating with local and regional research initiatives, global post-TB experts and community, and facilitating sharing and receiving of information to create visibility, reputation, and connectivity of TB Sequel investigators. Alongside with German and African partners, our Network will also partner with WHO and FIND, both organizations are leaders in TB research. Our research activities will be guided by the scientific advisory board (SAB), constituted of experts in the field and civil society representatives (TB Proof, South Africa).
The aim of the Policy WP is to contribute to translation of research finding into practice, including the development of policies for the management of PTLD through engaging with policy makers and stakeholders in each of the countries.
